Off Campus Wifi Search

Well, Amanda and I went to the Panera in Waltham to discover free wifi. While we were there, we used both our laptops and our pocket pcs to connect to the internet. The SSID of the network we connected to was PANERA and there was no WEP key. Panera is a business that provides free wifi so that customers will come to get something to eat and then stay for a while in order to use the free internet access. A customer who likes to get work done during lunch will choose Panera over another restaurant because of the free wifi that is available. The wifi is free to us because anyone in range of the access point is able to use it.

Now that I know how to search for and find free wifi, I can use it to check my email and do other internet activities while I am traveling. This will be sooo helpful!

^ haha us with our working wifi at Panera!

you can see the SSID of PANERA and the RSSI of -50
